Pareto’s principle & brain issues. This one might not make me any friends. Like, share & comment please.
Since many equate wealth and mental health, let’s carry it to my favourite conclusion. After enduring mental health issues caused from brain injuries my perception of society is 80% of the population should be on medications for one thing or another. It’s no big deal, medications allow me to cope and function better. And many could use a boost.
Consider if you are poor and have mental health issues you are crazy while if you are rich with the same issues you are eccentric. Then let’s extrapolate a bit.
So assuming that with coping & functioning improvements that your income will rise and Pareto’s principle states that 80% of the wealth/income comes from the top 20% of the population. Then it follows that the bottom 80% could use a boost in income along with their coping & functioning through medications.
My point is health is relative poverty is not. If we are about to have a trillionaire or two on the planet it is time to raise the low bar for the 80% who only make 20% of the wealth. Obviously through medications. I mean how much is there to unpack here?
Poor mental health & lack of intelligence = poverty.
Then by Pareto that means the 80% who are not rich.
Then most think they are well but stats don’t lie.
And you’d have to be crazy to write this in public.
So be it. It is what too many endure without income supports who endure brain injuries, mental illness or PTSD.
